Rag & Bone Trend Forecasting and Analysis

In my 2021 Trend Forecasting Class at Mount Mary, our final project was analyzing a store. Throughout the semester I made weekly visits to my store; I chose the Rag & Bone section of Nordstrom. In addition, I kept a journal of all the upcoming styles and trends that presented themselves throughout the semester. After understanding the Rag & Bones customer, competition, and overall company, I was able to create a forecast for Fall/Winter 2022. I projected the potential color story, fabrics, silhouettes and clothing details of my delivery. The theme is 'cool and textured', because of the draw to textured fabrics such as quilting and chunky knits. Lastly, I created a merchandising pyramid with the trend items at the top, key items in the middle, and basics at the bottom. This included the types of items in each category and their price ranges.
